Blogging- A Retrospective
The past fifteen weeks of Writ-150 have taught me that I
write in an analytical style. I tend to do better on essay prompts that involve
analyzing why something would be a certain problem and how to fix it. Therefore,
I found the first writing essay about positive stereotypes to be the easiest. My
learning style is also analytical, which is why I am interested in jobs and
subjects involving the analysis of cause and effect. My blogging advice for
future students is to also include in your entries what you are struggling with
so that you can receive help from other students on that weakness. I wish I
would have done that so I could learn to incorporate outside sources better. I
might use my writing style to write lab reports and journals, as my major
requires that due to its experiment heavy curriculum. Practicing how to incorporate
and cite will help when incorporating evidence from previous studies or scientific
journals.
I also felt that I can do better on essay prompts! I didn't think about adding the part of what I'm struggling with which would help with blogging.
ReplyDeleteYeah including what you're having trouble with is a good idea for future students. I'm not sure how useful these will be in the future but for some I could see them being helpful.
